We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Note this page's "all-white" gutters lacking black borderlines, a riff I've always loved on full-color comics ever since the concept was popularized (for me, at least) with Bill Sienkiewicz's painted artwork for the classic Elektra: Assassin miniseries. Your Mileage May Vary, of course, but for me "all-white" gutters are by far the most aesthetically pleasing option for panel separation on color art; I've used the riff whenever possible in my modern-era full-color comics, as infrequent as those have been in the last few decades (ouch).

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
